Mauritius is constantly adding to its portfolio of outstanding accommodation options so there is always somewhere new and exciting to stay on the island.
St. Regis resort and spa Mauritius is due to open october1, 2010. Situated next to les pavilions on a plot formerly owned by Berjaya, it is the latest property to open on the coverts beachfront at Le Morne in the southwest, known as ‘the five star strip’. With 174 rooms and suites, the hotel will have the upscale feel of its other worldwide resorts with the exclusive St. Regis butler service. This brings the Starwood Mauritian portfolio to four with the Four Points by Sheraton Cybercity, Le Meridien lle Murice and the Grand Mauritian Resort & Spa which opened last year on the North West coast in Balaclava on Turtle Bay.
The 193-room resort features the largest pool on the island and the Luxury Mandara Spa. Beachcomber Hotels’ Trou Aux Biches has been completely demolished and will be rebuilt by November 2010 with individual Pavillons and villas.
Naiade resort’ Les Pavillons has undergone a $32 million refurbishment, transforming it into a Luxury five-star hotel, while the flagship Beau Rivage has opened 12 new Luxury villas which are ideal for families. New facilities as Les Pavillons include a Nymphea Spa and extensive kids club called Twinkle as well Nipa, a gourmet Thai restaurant.
April 2010 sees the launch of 40 luxury villas in Mauritius alongside one of Club Med’s flagship five trident resorts, La Plantation d’Albion Club Med. Villas are on the market for one million Euros. Alternatively you can rent a two-room villa with flights from £1251 per night all-inclusive and use the facilities of Club Med.
This reflects the current push for Integrated Resort Schemes (IRS). Villa Valrich on the southwest coast is a good example. It welcomed its first guests in February 2010 to its 22 plantation-style villas, and is a great choice for families and couple. Anahita World Class Sanctuary is another case in point. This private mixed-use development includes private residences and the Four Season Golf Club Mauritius at Anahita with an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Ernie Els.

That rss feature on your website here is impressive, you should tell people about it in your upcoming post. I haven’t noted it a first, now I’m using it every morning to check on any updates. I’m on a real slow dial-up link in Australia and it’s quite hindering to sit there and wait for such a long time ’til the page loads… but hey, I just found your rss page and added it to the Google Reader and there you are… I’m always up-to-date! Well pal, keep up the good work and make that rss button a little bigger so that other people can enjoy that as well
On the southwestern side of the island, the soft white sands of Le Morne Beach and its turquoise lagoon will create a magical setting where lavishly appointed accommodations and pampering converge amid the many charms of Mauritius.
I found your site and was immediately attracted to the pictures. We are planning holiday in Mauritius and looking for an inclusive package . Your information is good.
